Terms of Use

Effective October 27, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and the Heavenward team ("we": Zephyx Labs LLC, who makes and runs Heavenward) about using Heavenward. By using the app you agree to them. If you got Heavenward from the App Store, Apple's Standard License Agreement for apps also applies.

Who can use Heavenward

Anyone can use Heavenward without an account. Accounts are for people 13 and older. If you're under 18, please use Heavenward with a parent's or guardian's knowledge.

What Heavenward is

Heavenward teaches the story of the Bible in the Catholic tradition. Scripture comes from the World English Bible, Catholic Edition, which is in the public domain. Lessons are written to agree with the Catechism of the Catholic Church and are awaiting theological review; they're a learning tool, not a substitute for your parish, the sacraments, or pastoral guidance.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details safe; you're responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

Your notes

Your notes and highlights belong to you. You let us store and sync them only to provide the app to you.

Heavenward Plus and tips

  • Heavenward Plus is optional. It's sold as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase through Apple.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your Apple Account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. A free trial, if offered, becomes a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.
  • Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.
  • If your parish or school gives you Plus through a class, it lasts as long as their license does.
  • Tips are optional, unlock nothing, and are not tax-deductible donations.
  • Every lesson, the whole Bible, your notes, practice, quests and streaks stay free without Plus. Without Plus there is a daily limit on new lessons; review, practice and reading are never limited.

Fair use

Please don't misuse Heavenward: don't try to break its security, access other people's data, or use it to harass anyone.

Our content

The lessons, guide entries, design, mascot and sounds belong to the Heavenward team. Scripture text is public domain. You may share verses freely.

No warranty

Heavenward is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using Heavenward, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.

Ending

You can stop using Heavenward at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, except where the law where you live gives you rights that can't be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and let you know in the app if a change is important.
