About
About Heavenward
Heavenward is an independent app made and published by Zephyx Labs LLC.
The Bible is one big story, but most of us meet it in pieces: a reading at Mass, a famous scene, a name we half remember. We made Heavenward to connect the pieces, five minutes at a time, for anyone who wants to know the story: a kid at the kitchen table with a parent, a teen getting ready for Confirmation, a grandparent with a morning coffee, someone brand new to the faith, or someone who's been Catholic all their life.
What we care about
Scripture, untouched
Every verse in the app comes straight from a public-domain Bible text. We never retype it or reword it.
Faithful and plain
Written in the Catholic tradition and aligned with the Catechism, citing paragraph numbers so you can check for yourself.
Honest about hard questions
When a question is hard, the lessons give a few faithful perspectives instead of pretending it's simple.
No guilt, ever
Sundays rest. There's a grace day every week, no hearts, no countdowns, and Lumen is never sad.
Prayer isn't a game
Learning a prayer earns XP. Praying it never does: the Rosary, Confession and Mass guides are never scored.
Private by design
No ads, and we never sell your information. Use it without an account, and your journal never leaves your device.
Where we are
- Heavenward is getting ready for the App Store, for iPhone and iPad.
- The lessons are awaiting theological review. Heavenward doesn't have an imprimatur or the approval of any bishop or diocese.
- It's a learning tool, not a substitute for your parish, the sacraments or pastoral guidance.
